Precast Concrete Inc. to Build a Massive 135,000 m² Logistics Center in Kocaeli

Precast Concrete Industry Inc. signed an agreement in recent months to construct a new logistics center spanning 135,000 m² in Kocaeli.

Set to be built in Kocaeli—a location noted for its strategic position and advanced transportation network—this massive logistics center aims to make Ekol Logistics’ national and international operations more efficient and faster.

As part of the project, Precast Concrete Inc. will undertake the production, on-site delivery, and installation of all columns, beams, slabs, and facade elements using precast concrete systems, thereby adding speed and quality to the project. The advantages of precast systems—including rapid installation, long service life, and low maintenance costs—will contribute to the seamless and safe continuation of logistics operations.

10-Story Design, 42-Meter Precast Columns

Pushing the boundaries of precast concrete engineering and adopting a design rarely seen in production, the project will be constructed using columns 42 meters in length. While the construction process for the 10-story building could normally take more than two years, this approach will allow it to be completed and put into use in a much shorter timeframe.

Sustainable and Environmentally Friendly Solution

The logistics center, to be constructed using precast elements with a high strength class, will prioritize environmental sustainability and incorporate highly energy-efficient solutions. The goal is to establish a facility with a low environmental footprint by minimizing waste during the production process.
